DVD VHS Combo Players

I want the best resolution possible and I know that PAL has a better one than NTSC but I’ve heard rumors that PAL dvds wont play on U.S. dvd players…is this true?

The VCR works fine but the DVD player won’t load anymore movies and when I try to play them, all it says is that the disk is bad.

when i convert youtube video’s to mpeg2, please tell me why when i go to play in certain dvd player it says no disc or and just don’t read, is there a certain format i need to do other than mpeg2 in order to watch my dvd video’s on any and all players?

I want to know if i can play hi def dvds on my 3 year old dvd player, or will i need to upgrade my dvd player?

I went to a concert and the video of the show is on youtube. How do I go from those webpages to video on a dvd that will work in a dvd player?
Any information on how to get the audio into mp3s would be great too.
Something free would be great.
