Is there a difference between region-free and all-region dvd players?
I want to buy a dvd player that will play movies from different regions… Are region-free and all-region just different phrases for the same thing or is there a difference?

Technically, a region free player will play only non-regionalized (i.e. "Region 0" DVDs) while an all region player will play DVDs from all regions.
That having been said, the terms are often used interchangeably. I’d look closely at the specs for the device to be certain that you’re getting what you think you’re getting.

U will not get a region-free dvd player .
U will get some with region 1 & 3.
Some with 2, 4 & 5. etc
U will find region codes of a dvd or vcd at the back of the cover.
Most of the good movies come in region 1
